Police carry out operation in Kızıltepe, detain many

Police raided many houses in the morning in new political operations in the Kızıltepe district of Mardin.

Several people were detained after the house raids. Kadir Işık, the former co-chair of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Provincial Organization, was beaten and detained by the police. His family stated that Işık was handcuffed backwards and that his nose was when he was thrown on the ground.

It was learned that along with Işık, Özgür Aydın and Çekdar Aydın were also detained and taken to Kızıltepe District Police Department.
