Kurds in Cyprus celebrate the 18th anniversary of the PYD

Kurds celebrated the 18th anniversary of the PYD in the city of Limassol, Cyprus.

The celebration started with a minute’s silence in memory of the Rojava Revolution martyrs, Cyprus People’s Assembly co-chair, Fatma Doğan, and PYD Cyprus spokesperson, Yasin Tergüş delivered speeches.

 

Doğan said: “The Rojava Revolution is also a women’s revolution,” while Tergus said that the revolution in Rojava has given the hope of freedom for all the peoples of the world. “We derive our strength from our leadership and our martyrs,” said Tergüş, ​​adding that the only way to pay the debt to the martyrs is to participate actively in the process.

At the end of his speech, he called on everyone who carries the love of freedom in their hearts to embrace the Rojava Revolution.

After the speeches, local artists took the stage and participants danced, chanting slogans.
