Cyprus Women’s Initiative in Limassol expresses its solidarity with Afghan women

An action was held in Limassol to draw attention to the dangers faced by women after the Taliban took over Afghanistan.

Speakers at the action organized by the Cyprus Women’s Initiative, said that Kurdish activists stood by Afghan women and added: “Under the leadership of the women’s freedom ideology developed by Kurdish people’s leader Abdullah Öcalan, the will of the heroic female guerrilla resisting in the mountains of Kurdistan and the spirit of resistance shown by the YPJ against ISIS set an example to the world. Today, by relying on their own strength, Afghan women can fight against the Taliban and its barbarian mentality.”
