Activists in Qamishlo and Raqqa protest Turkish state’s attacks on Shengal and Til Temir

The invading attacks carried out by the Turkish state against Shengal and Til Temir were protested by the peoples of Qamishlo and Raqqa.

Qamishlo

The march, led by Kongreya Star and PYD, started at Munir Hebib Junction in the city center of Qamishlo.

The people, carrying photos of Kurdish people’s leader Abdullah Öcalan and those who fell as martyrs in Shengal and Til Temir, chanted slogans condemning the Turkish state and its collaborator, the KDP.

The march ended in front of the United Nations representative office in the neighbourhood of Siyahî. PYD Qamishlo City co-chair Mesut Dawûd said: “Either a great victory or a great war awaits us. In these days we are expecting historical developments at every hour. As a people, we must be ready for any development. Every moment of our life should be a struggle. The enemy’s attacks continue and the world continues to remain silent. There will be no rest for us until we see Leader Öcalan among us and lead our struggle to victory.”

Raqqa

Members of the Revolutionary Youth Movement, Young Women’s Union, Syrian Future Party and civil society organizations attended the march organised in Raqqa to protest the Turkish attacks against both South Kurdistan and North and East Syria.

Syrian Future Party Youth Assembly Spokesperson, Mihemed Zixîr, condemned the massacre carried out by the invading Turkish army in Serêkaniyê, Zirgan and Til Temir.

Speaking on behalf of the Zenûbiya Women’s Community, Xilûd El-Remedan condemned the invading Turkish state’s aggression and killing targeting the people of Shengal, which, she said, “violate international laws.”

Delal Mihemed, a member of the Young Women’s Union, condemned the silence of the Iraqi government against the attacks on the people of Shengal.
