People of Afrin protest isolation of Abdullah Öcalan

Hundreds of people took to the streets in Afrin with the slogan “We will liberate Leader Apo with the spirit of 15 August”.

The people, condemning the isolation of Kurdish people’s leader Abdullah Öcalan, carried banners reading “You cannot darken our sun” and “We condemn the silence of Europe about Imrali isolation”. During the march, slogans were chanted saluting Afrin’s Epochal Resistance.

The crowd in the village of Til Sosin in Shehba held a minute’s silence for the martyrs of freedom.

Making a short speech here, Afrin Canton Assembly co-chair, Zelux Bekir, condemned the silence surrounding the isolation imposed on Abdullah Öcalan and said: “The whole world knows that Leader Apo’s ideas are the key to resolving the crises in the Middle East.”
