Female politicians: “Kurds only believe in the guerrilla”

The invading Turkish state employs a different strategy each time to weaken Kurdish resistance. For more than three months, HPG and YJA Star guerrillas have fought a heroic fight against the Turkish occupation of Southern Kurdistan, confronting the Turkish state’s attacks.

‘THE TURKISH OCCUPATION TARGETS EVERY KURD’

Gule Hesen, a member of the Central Committee of the Kurdish Left Party in Syria who evaluated the situation for ANHA, stated that following the defeat of ISIS in Kobanê, the Turkish state went insane and began assaulting the entire Kurdish geography, using all types of weaponry, including chemical weapons.

Gule Hesen, remarking that the invading Turkish state attacked the guerilla and targeted every Kurd fighting for their liberation, went on to say, “The Turkish state has been striking the highlands of Kurdistan for more than three months. They are using artillery and tanks to demolish and frighten residents’ homes in order to shatter the resistance.”

Gule Hesen pointed out that the Turkish state’s attitude in the region has shifted, saying, “They imprisoned politicians in Northern Kurdistan (Turkey) and launched an offensive on Kurdistan’s mountains. The goal is to annihilate Kurdish culture. Since he was defeated by the guerrilla, he is now seeking a civil war among Kurds.”

‘KURDS ONLY BELIEVE IN GUERILLA, NOT ANYONE ELSE’

Elmaz Romî, Women’s Council Member of the Democratic Union Party (PYD), remarked that the Turkish state compelled people to migrate in order to change the demographic structure of the area, and that everyone now knows what the invaders’ goals are.

Elmaz Romî called attention to the Turkish state’s demographic transformation in front of all human rights organizations, expressing that attacks on Kurdistan’s mountains were also part of this plan.

Elmaz Romî concluded her statement by declaring that the Kurdish people only believe in the guerrilla to protect them: “As Kurds, we only believe in the guerrilla; we do not rely on anyone else because everyone supports the same plot. The invading Turkish state, on the other hand, will be defeated, and the guerrilla will triumph.”
