Annual inflation rate reaches 18.95% in July

The Turkish Statistical Institution (TurkStat), said that the annual inflation rate was 18.95% in Turkey in July.

The monthly inflation rate was 1.80 percent and the 12-month inflation rate was 15.15 percent, shows TurktStat figures.

The highest increase in prices was in food and non-alcoholic beverages as their prices rose by 24.92 percent in a year. The other groups with a high inflation rate were transportation (24.62 percent) and furnishings and household equipment (22.70 percent).

The lowest annual increase was in the alcoholic beverages and tobacco group with 1.80 percent.
