HDP co-chairs visit party headquarter in Izmir, commemorate murdered party member

Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) co-chairs Pervin Buldan and Mithat Sancar have visited the party headquarter where party member Deniz Poyraz was murdered yesterday in Izmir.

Party employee Deniz Poyraz was killed in an armed attack carried out by AKP/MHP government hitman Onur Gencer in the HDP İzmir Headquarter yesterday.

Buldan and Sancar left roses in the corner where Poyraz was murdered.

The co-chairs received information from the party members about yesterday’s attack. Buldan and Sancar also examined the room where Poyraz was murdered while having breakfast.

Buldan and Sancar were joined by Peoples’ Democratic Congress (HDK) co-spokespersons Cengiz Çiçek and Esengül Demir, members of the party’s Central Executive Committee (MYK) and Kurdish politician Sırrı Sakık.

HDP Antalya Deputy Kemal Bülbül said that “We will fight for truth, compassion and justice”.

Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tunç Soyer and the main opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP) deputies are also expected to visit the party during the day.
