As the US ambassador announced in the short message one Twitter, she had made it clear to Turkey on Friday that “any attack on civilians in the Maxmur refugee camp would be a violation of international and humanitarian law. I am deeply concerned about the violence in the vicinity of the camp today and I urge all sides to respect the rights of the refugees.”

Yesterday, I made clear to Turkish officials that any attack targeting civilians at Makhmour refugee camp would be a violation of international and humanitarian law. I’m deeply concerned about violence near the camp today and call on all sides to respect the rights of refugees.
