TJK-E and KCDK-E to organize demo in Strasbourg on June 2

The European Kurdish Women’s Movement (TJK-E) and the European Kurdish Democratic Societies Congress (KCDK-E) will organize a march on June 2 to protest the Council of Europe’s silence against the genocide and invasion attacks of the Turkish state and the US bounty on PKK leaders. Both organizations have called for participation in the march.

In a joint statement, the TJK-E and the KCDK-E have announced that a mass march will be held in Strasbourg on June 2.

“While the sit-in protest that started in Strasbourg, France on May 11 marks its fourth week, a mass march will take place on Wednesday, June 2, to condemn the Turkish state’s invasion attacks in Kurdistan, the silence of Europe and the US bounty on PKK leaders.

Under the motto ‘Everywhere is Avashin, everywhere is Zap, everywhere is Metina. Dem Dema Azadiye!’ [Time for Freedom], the march will start in front of the Council of Europe and will end in front of the US Embassy.

The occupation attacks of the invading Turkish state against the guerrilla areas continue uninterrupted, and our Leader is under captivity. To expose and protest the hypocrisy of Europe, the support of the USA and the crimes committed by the Turkish army we urge our patriotic people, our European friends, all revolutionaries, democrats, intellectuals to participate in our march on June 2.”

The march will start at 12:00 on June 2 at Avenue de L’Europe, 67000 Strasbourg.
