The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced the identities of seven fighters who were martyred in attacks and clashes during the offensive of the Syrian transitional government against the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria in January.
According to the SDF Media Center, the fighters came from different segments of the population. Among them were both Kurdish and Arab fighters who fought together within the ranks of the multiethnic alliance.
In the statement, the SDF paid tribute to the martyrs and emphasized their role in the fight against attacks on the autonomous administration. “Our comrades defended their homeland with great determination and stood for the protection of the dignity and existence of the people,” the SDF said, describing their sacrifice as an expression of a shared struggle for freedom and justice.
The SDF stressed that: “We feel committed to the legacy of the martyrs and will continue the resistance until the security and rights of the population are guaranteed.”
