Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani met with Syrian Transitional President Ahmed al-Shara at the 5th Antalya Diplomacy Forum in Turkey on Friday.
Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani made the following statement on his social media account: “I was pleased to meet with President Ahmed al-Sharaa. I commended Mr. Sharaa for his ongoing efforts to stabilize Syria and for the progress made in implementing the agreement with the SDF (Syrian Democratic Forces). We also discussed strengthening the ties between Iraq, the Kurdistan Region, and Syria in order to advance shared security and economic objectives.”
