Zeynep Cansız, the mother of Sakine Cansız (one of the founding members of the PKK who was assassinated in Paris, the capital of France, on 9 January 2013) had previously been hospitalized after falling and suffering a blood clot in her brain.
Zeynep Cansız, who had been receiving treatment in the intensive care unit of Izmir City Hospital, was intubated on 11 April.
She passed away this morning at the hospital where she was being treated. Zeynep Cansız’s remains will be transferred to the Forensic Medicine Institute in Buca.
After the procedures there are completed, she will be taken to Dersim.
