Family of executed prisoner Babek Alipour missing

According to the website Voice of Kurdish and Iranian Prisoners, two women, Um al-Banin Dehkan (63) and Maryam Alipour (31), who were detained by the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence, have remained unaccounted for more than two months. It is reported that they are still under interrogation at Qarchak Prison.

Both detained women are identified as the mother and sister of executed political prisoner Babek Alipour. It was also reported that Babek Alipour’s father, Ruzbeh Alipour, is being held in Evin Prison.

According to the same source, members of Babek Alipour’s family have been deprived of access to legal counsel and the right to meet with relatives. The report further states that even before his execution, the family was not granted the right to a final farewell meeting with Babek Alipour.

It is known that Babek Alipour’s mother, Um al-Banin Dehkan, actively participated in the “No to Executions on Tuesdays” campaign. Um al-Banin Dehkan and her daughter Maryam Alipour were detained by Iranian regime forces on February 26, 2025, while returning to their home.
