Large fire at a British oil company in Hewlêr

In the morning hours, a major fire started at the oil well operated by the British company Castrol as a result of an armed unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) attack, spreading to large quantities of oil and logistical materials.

Hewlêr (Erbil) Civil Defense teams that arrived at the area are trying to bring the fire that started after the UAV attack under control.

Although the fire that broke out in warehouses containing flammable materials quickly grew and caused material losses, none of the company employees present during the attack were harmed.

Armed groups close to Iran carry out various attacks every day in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region in support of Iran, and as a result, citizens experience major material losses along with threats to their lives.

In seven UAV attacks carried out last night, a drone fragment hit a house belonging to a citizen, causing material damage to the home.
