According to the information received, the body of Fehim Tosun, who was shot on the border with Iran in the Elbês neighborhood of Elbak (Başkale) district of Van, has been left at the scene for four days. It is reported that for the body to be retrieved, a prosecutor and a mine specialist are expected to go to the area, while Tosun’s family and local residents continue to wait.
Relatives of Fehim Tosun and residents of Elbês neighborhood have been waiting for days for authorities to take action to remove the body from the location where it lies. However, no intervention has been made.
Residents of the neighborhood said that the body still being left at the scene has deepened the family’s pain.
Villagers reported that the body could not be retrieved due to heavy snowfall and storms affecting the region. Nevertheless, the family and villagers are demanding that the body be removed from the location as soon as possible and that the necessary procedures be carried out.
