14 political prisoners in Rojhilat face death sentences

Reports indicate that nearly 70 political prisoners in Iran are currently sentenced to death. Among them, at least 14 are from Eastern Kurdistan (Rojhilat). This has raised serious concerns about their situation, especially under current wartime conditions and rising regional tensions.

With the increasing security pressure, human rights activists warn about the risk of sudden executions, lack of fair trials, and further restrictions on prisoners’ access to lawyers and family contact. Experiences have shown that during times of crisis, the likelihood of carrying out death sentences increases.

Given the current wartime conditions and instability, human rights organizations warn that these prisoners are at greater risk than ever. They are calling for an immediate halt to executions, a review of these cases, and respect for basic rights, including access to lawyers and fair trials.

In this situation, attention from the public and the international community to the condition of political prisoners, especially in Rojhilat, can play an important role in preventing further human rights violations.
