Eyşe Efendi, the wife of Martyr Salih Muslim, promised that she would continue his struggle in service of the Kurdish people. Stating that Salih Muslim was a well-known fighter and a comrade of Abdullah Öcalan, Eyşe Efendi said that he had met with Öcalan many times. She also expressed that, in the presence of him and all the martyrs, she promised to continue the struggle for the rights of her people.
Recalling that Salih Muslim began his struggle in the 1980s, Eyşe Efendi said that thanks to his identity as a fighter he became known among the entire Kurdish people and throughout Kurdistan. She added: “His political legacy and struggle will continue to live within our people.”
Efendi offered her condolences to the Kurdish people, the people of Kurdistan, and the comrades of Martyr Salih Muslim, stating that the struggle will not stop and that the Kurdish people will continue to follow his path from generation to generation.
Salih Muslim, a member of the PYD Co-Chair Council, died last night in a hospital in Erbil due to kidney disease. His body crossed into Rojava about an hour ago through the Semalka Border Gate. He will be welcomed by the people from Derik to Qamishlo. A ceremony will be held tomorrow in Qamishlo, and he will be buried in the Martyr Dicle Cemetery in Kobane.
