While tensions persist in the region after the February 28 attacks by the United States and Israel on Iran, two separate drone incidents occurred in Erbil and Baghdad.
According to the information received, in the evening an unmanned aerial vehicle fell onto a house in the Jiyan neighborhood of Erbil. No explosion occurred in the incident, and according to initial reports there were no casualties or material damage.
It was reported that Iraq’s air defense system shot down an unmanned aerial vehicle that was said to be targeting Victoria Base, located inside Baghdad International Airport. The UAV reportedly fell outside Victoria Base before reaching the base, and no casualties or property damage occurred in the incident.
It is reported that following the February 28 attacks carried out by Israel and the United States against Iran, the number of attacks carried out with unmanned aerial vehicles and missiles targeting the Kurdistan Region has exceeded 20.
