In a message published on the anniversary of the Raperîn uprising, Shanaz Ibrahim Ahmed called on all sides to ensure that the Kurdish people do not become a tool in the rivalries of major powers and urged them to “take your hands off the Kurds.”
Evaluating the developments in North and East Syria, Shanaz Ibrahim said: “In recent years we have seen what has happened in North and East Syria, that is, in Rojava. Despite all the promises made to the Kurds in the region and the resistance the Kurds showed against anti-humanity gangs such as ISIS, we saw what kind of situation the Kurdish people ultimately faced.”
At the end of her message, Shanaz Ibrahim emphasized: “Past experiences show that, most of the time, when strength and sacrifice were required, the responsibility was left on the shoulders of the Kurds. For this reason, I call on all sides: take your hands off the Kurds. The Kurds will no longer be material in anyone’s hands.”
