South Kurdistan suspends oil exports via Turkey’s Ceyhan port

According to a source from the Bakur Oil Company who spoke to local media, companies have decided to stop sending Kurdistan Region oil through Turkey’s Ceyhan Port.

With the outbreak of war between Israel and the United States on one side and Iran on the other, oil exports from South Kurdistan — which had ranged between 200,000 and 250,000 barrels per day — declined to approximately 100,000 barrels.

Following the expansion of the attacks, oil exports were completely halted today.

The source stated that the reason for suspending oil exports is to minimize potential damage that could occur in the event of any attack targeting oil wells or pipelines. The source noted that if an attack were to take place during production, the resulting damage would be significantly greater.
