Iraqi Nujaba Movement also joins the war

Following Israel’s attack on Iran and the United States’ declaration of support for the strikes, tensions in the region have escalated. Iraq is among the countries most affected by this rising tension.

After Iraqi Hezbollah, the Nujaba Movement, a Shiite militia group active in Iraq, also announced that it would join the Israel–US war on Iran’s side.

Abdulqadir Karbalai, one of the military commanders of the Nujaba Movement, stated that they would take part in the war against the United States and Israel.

Platforms close to the Nujaba Movement, which declared its intention to join the war, have also threatened to expand the conflict onto Iraqi territory.
