Identities of 240 Kurdish protesters killed by Iranian security forces confirmed

According to the statement, the protesters were killed during demonstrations that began on December 28 (2025) against political, social, and economic problems and spread across Iran and Rojhilat (Eastern) Kurdistan.

It was reported that the recorded names were registered in Kermanshah, Ilam, Sanandaj, Tehran, Alborz, Lorestan, North Khorasan, Karaj, Mashhad, Gilan, Qazvin, Isfahan, Hormozgan, Mazandaran, and Khuzestan. Of the confirmed names, 20 were children and 31 were members of the Yarsan community.

It was also stated that Iranian forces did not allow families to bury the bodies in their own cities and forced them to hold burials in other locations.

Furthermore, it was reported that Iranian security forces demanded large sums of money from families in exchange for handing over the bodies and forced them to register the cause of death as “falling from a height,” thereby holding the protesters responsible for their own deaths.

It was noted that the identities of the Kurdish protesters killed during the demonstrations have been verified and that the investigation into identity confirmation is ongoing.
