According to Nûmedya24, Mazloum Abdi, General Commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), and İlham Ahmed, Co-Chair of the Foreign Relations Department of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria have arrived in Germany to participate in the 62nd Munich Security Conference, which will be held from February 13–15.
The report states that Abdi and Ahmed are currently in Germany and will take part in the conference, which is regarded as one of the world’s most important security platforms.
The conference brings together more than 1,000 participants from approximately 120 countries, including over 60 heads of state or government.
According to the information in the report, Abdi and Ahmed are expected to hold a meeting during the conference with Asaad al-Shaibani, the Foreign Minister of the interim government in Damascus.
This contact is said to be the first high-level meeting to take place following the agreement reached on January 30 between the SDF and the interim administration in Damascus.
