The new governor of the northeastern Syrian city of Hesekê, Nûredîn Îsa, received a delegation of local community leaders on Saturday, consisting of Kurdish and Arab tribal and religious representatives. The meeting, held at the governorate building, was also attended by the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) commander Mehmûd Xelîl Elî, known as Siyamend Efrîn.
Îsa emphasized the importance of unity, security, and the dignity of citizens as the central guiding principles of his work. He announced that he aims to be “a governor for all segments of society, ethnicities, and faiths,” regardless of origin or religious affiliation. “This office is a responsibility entrusted to us. We want success and well-being for our country,” he said.
The invited dignitaries congratulated Îsa on his new position and wished him success in fulfilling his duties.
