In the early morning hours, police conducted raids on the homes of members and staff of ESP, SKM, BEKSAV, Polen Ecology, the trade union DISK/Limter-Iş, SDGF, and Etkin News Agency.
During the home raids, 40 people were taken into custody, including ESP co-chair Murat Çepni, Cemil Aksu from Polen Ecology, and Etkin News Agency reporters Pınar Gayıp and Müslüm Koyun. It was reported that the number of detainees may increase.
The Law Office of the Oppressed stated that many people, including journalists and lawyers, were taken into custody during the morning raids and that a 24-hour restriction on access to lawyers was imposed.
The names of some of those taken into custody are as follows: Özlem Gümüştaş, Murat Çepni, Fatoş Çelik, Hacer Elçin, Okan Danacı, Pınar Gayıp, Züleyha Müldür, Hasan Polat, Müslüm Koyun, Cemil Aksu, Hasan Hüseyin Yeşiloca, Ahmet Bilal Bay, Tanya Kara, Hivda Selen, Uğur Ok, Emrah Topaloğlu, Ruşa Sabur, Hıdır Sabur, Mehmet Acettin, Emin Orhan, Şahin Tümüklü, Sıtkı Güngör, Sonnur Sağlamer, Hüseyin İldan, Kanber Saygılı, Fatma Saygılı, Ali Haydar Saygılı, Aynur Ergül, Satiye Ok, Berfin Polat, İleri Devrim Yurtsever, Beycan Taşkıran, Ramazan Karakaya, and Aydın Kılıçdere.
