6,842 protesters killed in Rojhilat Kurdistan and Iran

The Human Rights Organization HRANA released a new statement on the deaths, injuries, and detentions that occurred during the protests in Rojhilat Kurdistan and Iran.

According to the statement, since protests began on 28 December 2025, attacks by Iranian state forces have resulted in the killing of 6,842 protesters, the injury of 11,021 protesters, and the detention of 49,070 protesters.

The statement noted that 146 of those killed were children under the age of 18. It was also reported that 214 of the deceased were members of the security forces, and that 57 people were killed despite not having participated in the protests.

In addition, it was stated that 11,046 people were summoned to security centers to give statements, and that the statements of 296 protesters were taken under coercion.
