Thirty-nine political parties and movements in Rojava–North and East Syria issued a written statement regarding the agreement reached between the Syrian Democratic Forces (QSD) and the Transitional Government.
In the statement, which expressed the parties’ support for the agreement, it was emphasized that the agreement constitutes a critical step toward ending the civil war.
The parties stated that, with all its provisions, the agreement creates a practical and realistic framework to end division and promote national unity.
Condemning the shedding of Syrian blood and the attacks against the region, the statement said: “This agreement marks the beginning of a comprehensive political process aimed at establishing a democratic and pluralistic Syria that guarantees the rights of all the peoples of Syria on the basis of justice and freedom.”
The statement emphasized that resolving the Kurdish issue as part of the overall Syrian question is a legitimate political and legal struggle that must be implemented in the permanent constitution of the new Syria.
The statement concluded with a call to all Syrians, both inside and outside the country, to support this historic process and to contribute to the construction of a new Syria.
