In the face of attacks and threats from the HTS-ISIS and Turkish-backed factions, the people and tribes of Rojava (Western) Kurdistan continue their guard duties to defend their cities.
Tey Tribe representative, Ebdulcebar El-Tey, emphasized that they will defend their honor and land to the very end, stating: “In response to the call for mobilization, people are in the streets in all four parts of Kurdistan and in Europe today. As the Tey Tribe, together with all our youth, we have mobilized to defend our villages and cities. Jolani’s militias vow to advance as far as Ain Diwar,’but we, as the Tey Tribe and Kurds, are defending our land and our honor. Whether we survive or fall as martyrs, we will remain on this land. We continue our duty of defense. As a people, we have organized ourselves and are carrying out this duty. The people have risen up along the borders and in cities to defend their land. We have seen what happened in other Syrian cities, and we will not bow our heads to those mercenaries. We are the grandchildren of Sheikh Said. They loot the property and possessions of the people. How will they fight us? Each one of our youth is worth a hundred of theirs.”
Îmad Ehmed Osman from the city of Hesekê said: “Today, we are ready to defend all the cities of Rojava and Kurdistan. We will resist until the last drop of our blood. No matter what the enemy does, they will not succeed against us.”
Another resident, Lukman Paşo, said: “Here, we are ready to defend Rojava, the Kurdish people, and all four parts of Kurdistan. We also call out to the people of Kobanê: victory is yours, and you raise our morale. Likewise, we call on our people in Hesekê to add to our strength, because this strength will defend the people and will not allow the mercenaries to pass through. We will remain vigilant against the mercenaries seeking to operate in Hesekê. And we say this to Jolani’s militias: Hesekê will be a grave for you. Here and everywhere, we are on defense duty to protect our people and our cities, and we will never allow this city to fall.”
