Young people in the city of Kobanê made a statement at Free Women’s Square against the attacks targeting Rojava.
The statement was read by Avaşîn Misto, Co-Chair of the Euphrates Canton Youth and Sports Council, and said: “We celebrate the 11th anniversary of the liberation of Kobanê from ISIS gangs. We are passing through a historic period.
We are living through a historic moment. We must strengthen our resistance and repel the enemy’s attacks. Kobanê is under an increasingly tightening siege; the enemy is attacking us from all sides. We must not fall into the trap of lies spread on the enemy’s websites. Our people and our youth must trust our strength and our Autonomous Administration and stand behind them.”
The statement added: “With the spirit of the Kobanê resistance, we will once again repel the enemy and its attacks and achieve victory. The young people of the four parts of Kurdistan must join hands to uphold Kurdish brotherhood and save our people from this situation.
As youth, we will resist, strengthen our struggle, stand behind our fighters, and once again achieve victory with the spirit of the Kobanê resistance.”
