YPJ fighter Esmer Kobanê, noting that although Kobanê is small, it hosts thousands of resistance fighters, said: “We will not give up Kobanê. Resistance is life, and life continues through struggle. We have the will to rise up against these gangs. We will never abandon Kobanê. Despite the heavy fighting, the determination to resist is growing, and through this we will achieve victory.”
Emphasizing that their will is made of steel, Esmer Kobanê continued: “Until the last drop of our blood, we will stand against the occupation. They cut the braids of our comrades, but they should know that our braids are in the thousands, and with these braids we will destroy them and suffocate them. As fighters, we will remain in Kobanê until the end and achieve victory.”
Thousands of women will rise up
YPJ fighter Lîlav Kobanê stressed that they will protect the legacy of Arîn and Zehra no matter what, saying: “As YPJ, we will rise up against these gangs and will not allow them to enter our lands. Not only will we not allow them to cut our braids, but thousands of braids will rise up and rebel against the occupation. Just as Kobanê witnessed a historic resistance in 2014 that was crowned with victory, Kobanê will once again become a painful memory for them. As YPJ, we are on the front lines. Our people are behind us, and with this we will win.”
Expressing her faith in the people, Lîlav Kobanê continued: “We will resist to the end here and stand against the gangs. Let them remember well the day Kobanê was liberated, victory will be ours.”
