One of the YPJ commanders, Raya Mihemed, a member of the Deir ez-Zor–based Begara tribe, told ANHA news agency that the forces in the city of Hasakah are fully prepared to respond to any threat against the security and peace of the city and its people.
Raya Mihemed noted that the forces are deployed on the front lines, particularly around Panorama Junction. Emphasizing that the civilian situation remains calm thanks to the sacrifices of the fighters, she said, “We are fully ready to defend ourselves and our people.”
Warning against attempts to sow discord between Kurds and Arabs, Raya Mihemed said that such plans aim to undermine brotherhood among peoples and carry out massacres against the region’s communities, but that the awareness of the people and the unity of the region’s components can thwart these efforts.
Commander Raya Mihemed stated that all forces and components are united on the same front to protect Hasakah and its surroundings, and that they will not allow the gangs to pass.
She also stressed that they will not allow ISIS gangs to escape, adding that all such attempts will be thwarted by the will of the fighters and the unity of the peoples.
Finally, Commander Raya Mihemed said: “Our choice is clear; victory or victory.”
