The humanitarian aid convoy sent by the Barzani Charity Organization, accompanied by representatives of civil society organizations, crossed into Rojava through the Semalka Gate and arrived in the city of Qamishlo.
The convoy consists of 67 trucks carrying medical supplies, food, and clothing. The trucks’ cargo was unloaded at Freedom Park in Qamishlo and will be distributed tomorrow to people who have been forcibly displaced. The aid will be distributed through Heyva Sor a Kurd to ensure that all affected people can receive assistance.
Tens of thousands of people from Afrin and Shehba were displaced to cities in the Cizîre Canton due to attacks by HTS, ISIS, and gangs of the Turkish state targeting the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiah neighborhoods, as well as the cities of Tabqa and Raqqa. Most of those displaced are sheltering in civil society organizations’ facilities, mosques, and schools.
