Turkish troops in armored vehicles were deployed to the border crossing in the Nusaybin district of Mardin.
Following the deployment on Wednesday, reports are coming through of military activity at the border crossing with the northern Syrian city of Qamishlo.
On Tuesday, thousands of people gathered in the border area. Demonstrators tore down the border and hundreds crossed into Qamishlo in response to the call for mobilization against the attacks by the HTS, ISIS and Turkey on Rojava. Two young men and two women were wounded when Turkish soldiers fired live ammunition at the demonstrators.
