Images circulated on digital media show Turkish-backed mercenaries affiliated with the Syrian transitional government stealing wheat from grain silos in the Til Elo region south of Çilaxa district.
The militias transport the wheat they steal by trucks, reportedly looting the areas after the theft.
Should the mercenaries continue stealing, there will be a serious threat to citizens’ access to food.
