While the attacks by ISIS and HTS militias and the occupying Turkish state on Rojava continue unabated, KDP General President Masoud Barzani, issued a message regarding the attacks on Rojava.
Barzani said they are closely and anxiously following the latest developments and events in Syria and Rojava, saying: “Given the sensitive situation, all parties must act responsibly and avoid emotional reactions to ensure no harm comes to our brothers and sisters in Rojava, as that would be absolutely unacceptable.”
Barzani stated that they have made every effort and will continue to do so “to ensure that our brothers and sisters in Rojava do not face disaster and misfortune.”
The KDP President also warned against the looming threat of a resurgence of ISIS and its terrorism, which, he said, in itself is a very serious threat to the stability and security of the region.
Barzani called on the international community and the allies to fulfill their responsibilities, ensure that tensions and clashes are halted immediately, a comprehensive ceasefire is declared, and issues are resolved through peaceful means and dialogue.
