Thousands of people in the Nusaybin district of Mardin marched to the Qamishlo border in protest against the attacks on North and East Syria.
DEM Party Co-Chairs Tuncer Bakırhan and Tülay Hatimoğulları, along with Democratic Regions Party (DBP) Co-Chairs Keskin Bayındır and Çiğdem Kılıçgün Uçar, also joined the protest march.
Throughout the march, demonstrators chanted slogans such as “Long live the resistance of Rojava,” “Long live the resistance of the SDF,” and “Rojava and Rojhilat; Kurdistan is one nation.”
As the crowd grew larger during the march, citizens voiced their demand for the removal of borders.
Police attempted to block the march, during which fireworks were also set off. Despite all attempts to prevent the demonstration, the demonstrators continued their protest action.
The people reached the border with the northern Syrian city of Qamishlo, singing songs of resistance and chanting slogans.
The Peoples’ Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) is holding its weekly Parliamentary Group Meeting at the Nusaybin-Qamishlo border today in protest at the ongoing attacks on North-East Syria.
