The Peoples’ Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) announced that it will convene its Parliamentary Group Meeting at the Nusaybin–Qamishlo border in response to attacks on Northern and Eastern Syria by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) and paramilitary groups supported by Turkey.
The group meeting, to be held with the participation of DEM Party co-chairs Tülay Hatimoğulları and Tuncer Bakırhan, will take place at 1:00 p.m.
The DEM Party Press Office issued the following statement: “The location of our Group Meeting scheduled for tomorrow (Tuesday, January 20) has been changed. Our Group Meeting will be held in the Nusaybin district of Mardin instead of the Turkish Grand National Assembly. The meeting will be led by our co-chairs Tülay Hatimoğulları and Tuncer Bakırhan.
Meeting point: Midyat Road Avenue, Railway Junction
Time: 1:00 p.m.
From the meeting point, a march will take place to Border Park, where the Group Meeting will be held.”
