In a written statement regarding the increasingly ongoing attacks against North-East Syria, the Revolutionary Communard Party/ United Freedom Forces (DKP/BÖG) Central Committee said, “The Rojava revolution has reached a historic and critical juncture. The HTS regime, backed by imperialist powers, is intensifying its attacks to liquidate the Rojava revolution. The Turkish state has mobilized all its resources behind the scenes to liquidate the Rojava revolution.”
The statement continued, “Under these conditions, our party calls on Turkey’s working class and laborers to raise the banner of internationalist solidarity with the Rojava revolution. Today is the day to stand shoulder to shoulder with the Rojava revolutionaries who defeated ISIS and resisted all kinds of occupation attacks.”
The DKP/BÖG stated, “Our party is aware that the political stance taken in this historic conjuncture will be a historic one,” adding, “With this awareness, we must act in all areas where we are present, conscious of the fact that the liberation of Turkey’s working class and laborers also depends on the realization of the Kurdish nation’s right to self-determination.”
The DKP/BÖG emphasized that they are aware of the great sacrifices made by the Kurdish people in winning the Rojava revolution, stating, “By raising the slogan of internationalist solidarity with the Kurdish people in the ranks of Turkey’s working class, in the streets, in the squares, in the revolutionary battle positions, we will once again prove ourselves worthy of the immortal Communards and the memory of the immortals who created the Rojava revolution. Today is the day to raise the banner of socialism on this basis and stand shoulder to shoulder with the Kurdish people’s struggle for freedom.”
