49 families and 115 wounded people arrive at the Têkoşîn Camp in Tabqa

Kurdish Red Crescent Heyva Sor a Kurd announced that families and wounded people evacuated from the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiyah neighborhoods of Aleppo have arrived at the Têkoşîn Camp in Tabqa.

According to the statement on Tuesday, a total of 49 families from both neighborhoods were evacuated and placed in the camp. It recalled that 175 displaced families from Shehba have also been staying in the same camp since the end of 2024 (after the fall of the Baath regime).

Heyva Sor a Kurd reported that 115 wounded people, mostly civilians, had arrived at the camp and were in need of urgent and ongoing medical treatment. It added that more IDPs were expected to arrive at the camp in the coming days.

The statement noted that difficulties were being experienced in providing medical services and meeting basic needs due to the continuous increase in the number of IDPs, and emphasized that humanitarian aid initiatives needed to be increased in the face of challenging humanitarian situations.
