SDF denies misleading information by the Syrian “Ministry of Defense”

The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) categorically deny the misleading claims published by the “Ministry of Defense” affiliated with the Damascus government regarding the presence of military movements or troop buildups by their forces on the Deir Hafer front.

SDF affirmed that there are no unusual movements or preparations whatsoever, stressing that the gatherings that took place were limited to civilians from the people of North and East Syria who had assembled to receive the wounded from Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiyah.

“On the contrary, the area has been witnessing intense activity by Turkish unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), including “Bayraktar” and “Akinci” drones, in addition to suicide drone attacks and artillery shelling that targeted the city of Deir Hafer and its surrounding villages, as well as Haqil Al-Thawra area. This raises many questions and suspicions. We place these facts before public opinion,” the SDF said.

SDF also presented documented images of the remnants of munitions from Turkish “Bayraktar” drones that targeted one of the institutions in the Maskanah area.
