PJAK: The sun of freedom will rise in Iran

The Kurdistan Free Life Party (PJAK) issued a written statement on its official website regarding the ongoing protests in Iran.

The statement said that the Iranian people’s uprising against the regime is continuing across the country with determination and resolve that sets an example. It noted: “In the streets of cities in northern, southern, eastern, and western Iran, the streets have become direct arenas of confrontation between freedom-loving people and oppressive government forces. The overwhelming wave of popular protests is expanding moment by moment, leaving the regime helpless and bewildered. The leaders of the Islamic Republic know better than anyone that what they have done to the people of these lands represents a perfect example of oppression and tyranny, yet they are not prepared to take even a single step back from this destructive path. For this reason, the Iranian people are continuing their democratic and revolutionary uprisings with growing anger and stronger will, pushing the regime step by step toward its end and collapse.”

The statement emphasized that the regime feels it is on the brink of destruction and that, in response, government leaders and Hamaney himself have decided to massacre and annihilate the rising Iranian people. It was noted that these massacres are intended to be carried out in complete isolation from the world.

The statement continued by noting that, as part of carrying out the death orders they have received, regime guards have cut off the internet: “For this reason, they have shut down the internet and telephone lines and are trying to reduce to zero the possibility of information being sent outside. Even if the government has cut communication between Iran and the world, the voice of the rising, freedom-loving Iranian people cannot be silenced in any way. Some of the news and information that has reached the outside world shows that oppressive government forces have carried out massacres in many cities and regions of Iran, using all kinds of light and heavy weapons to kill protesting citizens.

The few images that have been published regarding these massacres show that oppressive government elements are attacking protesters and rebels with full force and extreme brutality. This behavior of the Islamic Republic is a clear example of a crime against humanity, and responsibility for it lies entirely with the leaders of this government. The regime’s repressive forces have opened direct fire on the people in many regions, including Tehran, Karaj, Isfahan, Khorasan, Lorestan, and various parts of Kurdistan such as Ilam, Kermanshah, Shahabad, Gilan-e Gharb, Kamyaran, Salmas, and Khoy, killing many civilians. Iran has now become a place where fire, uprising, and blood are boiling. In light of what we know about this government and its nature, it is clear that it may further expand the scope of these massacres.”

The statement added: “We strongly condemn these barbaric and inhumane acts of the Islamic Republic regime and declare that we will do everything in our power to support our freedom-seeking people throughout Iran. We call on all international institutions not to remain silent in the face of these brutal massacres and killings and to take urgent practical measures to support the Iranian people. We call on all Iranians living abroad, freedom-loving people, and those whose conscience is awakened to be the voice of the Iranian people around the world in these difficult historical moments and to support the revolutionary uprising of Iran’s oppressed people. We believe that with the determination, will, and great sacrifices shown by young people and women against the oppressive government, the democratic protests of the Iranian people will ultimately bear fruit and the sun of freedom will rise over these lands.”
