Mazloum Abdi: Agreement reached for the safe evacuation of the population

The Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), Mazloum Abdi, said that a ceasefire agreement was reached through international mediators to ensure the safe evacuation of the population from the Ashrafiyah and Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhoods of Aleppo.

In a written statement, Abdi said: “In order to stop the attacks and violations against our people in Aleppo, we have reached an agreement through the mediation of international parties to establish a ceasefire and to ensure the safe transfer of martyrs, wounded, besieged civilians, and fighters from the neighborhoods of Ashrafiyah and Sheikh Maqsoud to North and East Syria.”

Abdi called on the mediators to honor their commitments to stop violations and to ensure the safe return of displaced people to their homes.

He expressed his deepest respect and appreciation to the resistance fighters of Ashrafiyah and Sheikh Maqsoud, their martyrs, comrades, families, and the resisting civilians, extended his condolences to the families of the martyrs, and wished a speedy recovery to the wounded.
