As protests sparked by public outrage continue across Iran, state forces have intensified their attacks on demonstrators. During protests in the city of Abdanan, Vahid Abdullahi was killed, while in demonstrations in Tehran, Ali Abbasi and Rubina Aminian (24) were killed.
According to information reported in Iranian media, Ali Abbasi was from the West Gilan area of the city of Kirmaşan and was killed by state forces during protests held on Friday evening. Rubina Aminian was reported to be from Marivan.
From the first days of the protests, Abdanan, in Ilam province, became one of the symbolic cities, with control of the city center passing into the hands of the people. In response, regime forces began using live ammunition against the population in Rojhilat from the very first day of the protests.
In the capital Tehran, citizens from all walks of life continue to take to the streets. Despite all the attacks, the protests, which are growing and becoming increasingly mass-based, continued today as well.
