Thousands of people from the Jazira, Deir ez-Zor, Euphrates, Tabqa, and Raqqa cantons responded to the general mobilization call made by the People’s Council of the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiyah neighborhoods against attacks by armed gangs.
Today, a public convoy from the cantons of North and East Syria set out toward the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiyah neighborhoods of Aleppo.
As the convoy advanced toward the checkpoint controlled by the Syrian Transitional Government at the entrance of Deir Hafir, the gangs did not allow them to pass and opened fire on them. The crowd will spend the night at the Deir Hafir border crossing.
Despite the cold, the people’s determination and insistence on reaching Aleppo to support the resistance of the besieged neighborhoods are steadily increasing.
Meanwhile, people arriving from the Raqqa, Tabqa, Euphrates, and Jazira cantons have reached Deir Hafir.
