The General Command of the Suwayda National Defense Forces said in a statement that Transitional Government forces shelled the city’s northwestern front from the town of Mansoura in the early morning hours.
The statement noted that one National Defense Forces fighter was killed as a result of the bombardment.
The command added: “At the same time, in the town of Mazra, an opposition group attempted to enter a military post in the town of Majdal and then carried out attacks using drones. Our forces repelled this attempt, destroyed a vehicle belonging to the attacking group, and brought the situation under control on all fronts.”
