The Media Center of the Internal Security Forces (ISF) in Aleppo released a statement refuting the allegations that they have requested a safe corridor and confirming that their forces remain steadfast in their positions, defending their people and neighborhoods.
The ISF statement on Thursday said: “Some media outlets continue to engage in deliberate disinformation by publishing false information and statements and falsely attributing them to our forces, including the baseless claim that our forces requested safe corridors to leave their neighborhoods in the city of Aleppo. We categorically affirm that these allegations are completely unfounded.”
The ISF statement underlined that: “Our forces have not requested, and will not request, any safe corridors, as they are not the attacking party. The party that must withdraw its tanks, artillery, and fighters from the vicinity of residential neighborhoods is the attacking side from the factions of the Damascus government, which is waging an overt assault on areas inhabited by civilians.”
The statement concluded: “Our forces remain steadfast in their positions, defending their people and neighborhoods with the utmost bravery, confronting tanks and artillery with determination and resolve. They will not be drawn into disinformation campaigns aimed at breaking morale and distorting the reality on the ground. The truth is clear: the aggressor is the one who must withdraw, and those defending their land will not retreat.”
