Union of Kurdish and Iranian Workers: Our struggle will continue

Protests against the economic crisis have continued throughout Iran since December 28, 2025. At least 17 people have lost their lives during the ongoing demonstrations.

The Union of Kurdish and Iranian Workers issued a statement regarding the increasingly ongoing demonstrations across Iran and Rojhilat (Eastern Kurdistan).

The union said that the protests unfolding in the streets of Iran and Eastern Kurdistan represent a popular uprising against poverty, high inflation, economic collapse, repressive and harsh policies, the silencing of the people, violence against women, and the undermining of the fundamental principles of social life.

The statement said that the Iranian government deployed security forces to the streets to suppress peaceful protests instead of responding to the legitimate and fundamental demands of the people.

“The Iranian people have nothing left to lose. This corrupt and sick system will not be tolerated any longer. The government lacks the capacity to improve the current situation. Our struggle will continue until the country is freed from its oppressors,” underlined the Union of Kurdish and Iranian Workers.
