SDF Press Spokesman warns against misinformation regarding talks with Damascus

After concluding their talks with the Syrian transitional government on possible military integration, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) rejected premature speculation about the content and results. After the meeting on Sunday ended, SDF Press Spokesman Farhad Shami wrote on X that the details of the talks would only be published in an official form after all internal consultations had been completed.

“All information currently being disseminated that does not come from this framework does not reflect the actual content of the talks,” Shami explained. He also emphasized that the talks had been conducted on a professional and responsible basis. The discussions, he said, were guided by technical criteria and aimed to achieve results that would promote stability and peace in Syria. Shami did not specify when the official results of the talks would be announced.

The SDF met with representatives of the transitional government in Damascus earlier today to discuss issues of military integration and coordination. The delegation included SDF commander-in-chief Mazloum Abdi, as well as Sozdar Haci and Sipan Hemo from the SDF General Command. US Brigadier General Kevin J. Lambert from the international anti-ISIS coalition also took part in the meeting.
