SDF releases annual assessment of the fight against ISIS

The Press Center of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) released a detailed report on security and military operations conducted against ISIS gangs throughout 2025.

The statement said that as a result of operations carried out by the SDF and the Women’s Defense Units (YPJ), dozens of gang members involved in terrorist activities were arrested, logistical support networks were dismantled, ISIS positions and centers were destroyed, and weapons and explosives were seized before they could be detonated among civilians or near official institutions.

It emphasized that these operations played a key role in protecting millions of civilians, maintaining stability, and preventing the resurgence of ISIS, particularly through securing ISIS camps and prisons.

The statement noted that although ISIS has weakened, it still poses a threat and continues to attempt to undermine peace by exploiting security gaps.

The SDF reaffirmed its determination to continue the fight against terrorism through military, security, and social means in cooperation with the international coalition.
